In order to get the best results all of our training services are offered as one on one personal training. You are the full focus of your session in order to maximize your time and progress. We specialize in Functional Patterns but that can be utilized in many areas of fitness. We have some examples listed below.

Functional Patterns

This system focuses on practical strength training that emphasizes what we do from day to day. We run, we throw, we get up and down, we lift things from the ground, we rotate. These movements are the foundations of Functional Patterns training. At our gym we base our methods on the Functional Patterns system, which is a methodology that emphasizes the bio-mechanics of our body and integrates muscle systems into exercises, instead of isolating muscles. This creates a stronger more balanced body.

Sports Strength and Conditioning

Looking to achieve your maximum athletic potential? Then look no further. Our intimate facility is the perfect environment for us to focus on every aspsect of your training. Whether it be baseball, football, soccer, etc. we have the formula for you. Using specific stability, agility, speed, power, strength, and endurance programming by CSCS Alex Pennington, we are able to create a focused path for the athlete. What we do differently that sets this gym apart, is that we apply techniques of retraining posture, bio-mechanics, and gait of the athlete in order to put them a step ahead of the competition. This is something most other facilities are not doing with their athletes currently. Bio-mechanics training is an emerging system which is being proven to be one of the most important aspects of how the athlete moves and reacts in the most efficient way possible. In sports, every tenth of a second counts!

Senior Fitness

As we age, our body begins to decline and the disfunctions that may have started earlier in life start to exasperate into immobilties, pain, and an increase in injuries. The good news is that it can be corrected, the bad news is that if not focused on things can get much worse or lead to other issues down the road. Here at Fit and Functional we listen, assess, and figure out the path to a healthy and fit body for this age group. You do not have to go every day living in pain! Most pain and the increase of injuries comes from a musculoskeletal disorder and this is almost always fixable. Through postural exercise, balance training, focused strength training, and body weight management there is no stopping you from living a long healthy pain free life.

Mobility Training

Mobility training is an ancient exercise philosophy, with an immense amount of new methodologies. Using specific stretching, myofacial release, range of motion conditioning, and movement focused exercises one can achieve improved workouts and improved body function. Just think, if your flexibilty is so limited that you are not able to bend over to pick something up without feeling weak and stiff, then you are just waiting for a back injury. This goes for everything we do. We take everyone through rolling, stretching, and dynamic movements to achieve the quickest results possible in this area. Pain Management & Injury Prevention

Through our initial consultation and assessment we can can quickly identify what techniques need to be addressed to help overcome chronic pain and can greatly help with the prevention of future injuries. Here we take into account allignment, posture, history of pain, current movement patterns and create a whole program designed to give you a better quality of life.

Posture Training

The number one prevention of injuries and surgeries is the management of posture. In our postural training sessions we go over the importance of alignment and hone in on the how to overcome the structural deficiencies in our bodies. Every person is different, so we analyze the areas where restructuring is needed and put you through a series of exercises, thoughtful standing, and myo-fascial release that helps decompress the body.
